The Oxymorons of Rock

To be completely honest, some of the music is slightly toxic.

Raw, organic music with no artificial sweeteners. It’s good for you! Of course, when pressed, Paul McCarty admits “Yes, some of the music is slightly toxic.”

It’s hard to know what will come from an eclectic mix of genres and style, such as americana, folk-rock, swampy Louisiana grooves, reggae, pop and blues—all with a constant driving beat and a heartfelt mastery of their instruments. This carefully crafted sound comes out to sound something like Tom Petty, Neil Young and Wilco. They claim lyrical inspirations such as, “Paul will never have a successful relationship,” “Todd Palin should leave his wife,” “Be kind to blackbirds” and “Other and miscellaneous”. As a result, their sound has been well-received by fans and critics alike, including a bunch of positive reviews for their second album, Don’t Kill the Blackbird.
